    hello

i been searching the net but cant find a definate answer for my problem.

can i use hi def settings on my 37pw7? i know my screen does progressive scan but its not hidef compatible(sky hidef compatible). i will be getting my xbox chipped for this feature on friday if it works. i have a component board and will order the hi def lead from liksang soon. is there anything else i would need for this to work?

    thanks

You'll be able to display a 420p image on your plasma which I'm sure is better than what you have at the moment.

I have nearly the same: pw7 42" modded xbox ( xecuter 2 chip ) slayers evox.
Now i have my xbox going into a sony dav sc5 home cinema going into a pro v
    www.keene.co.uk/cgi-bin/bigcodesearch.pl?PV200
Then to plasma via vga cable.
So will i benefit from getting hi def leads and i will also need a component board.
Talking about £120ish all in, will i get a better picture than i get just now or will it be of similar quality ( which i think is really good just now ).

    Cheers

geewhizz - You're better off asking some of the guys who have already got their hi-def soft mod to work. Whilst I have seen the difference it makes (which is a vast improvement over my scart jobbie!) I don't know how much of an improvement it will make to your current vga connection.

Maybe somebody else has tried this?
