Xbox Elite HDMI problems

Hi,

I have just got hold of a elite and i am having a problem getting it to output over HDMI, I have my ps3 using HDMI and this works fine but the 360 does not want to know, there is just nothing there (It works fine over component) has any one else had any problems like this and managed to overcome them, my TV is a Sony K2530 26" LCD. Not sure if the 360 is faulty or a handshake problem between the two.

I got my elite last night,

When I got home, I put the hdmi into the 360 and the other end into my Sony W2000 and powered the 360 on.

Took a min or so for the xbox to show anything on the tv, but it sorted itself out on it's own.

We had one of those on launch day in work, I was the lucky one who got to test it in the back, it's a known fault, take it back and get another.

I had the same problem, no picture with the supplied HDMI cable.

Tried another cable that I had lying around and it worked !!!.

It seems that there are a few dodgy cables being supplied with the Elites.

I had the same problem last night with my Samsung 50inch DLP. I returned a premium that I had been using with the component cables at 720p and was unable to get anything with the HDMI above 420p and even that picture was blue and not correct.

Just ordered a new HDMI cable from monoprice and am going to try that.

Anyone else get it to work with a different cable?

Don't bother with xbox live phone support, after 45 minutes of being told my tv was broken and it was impossible to get anything other than 1080p with the Elite, I had to hang up.
