Xbox elite controller warranty

hey guys, just got a new elite series 2 controller, my series 2 developed the RB button not working, this is the second controller now to do this but as it was out of warranty I just got a new one from Amazon, registered it on xbox website and it said the warranty runs out in march 2023 giving me 9 months warranty, tried to contact xbox support on twitter but can only get an automated message, contacted amazon who sent out a new one and came today, this is the exact same thing, 9 months warranty, is this normal? They have both been sealed boxed but surely it should be 12 months.

Messaged xbox support on twitter and they got all the details of the controller and changed it to 12 months. Strange.

I had an issue with my Elite 2 controller warranty but have the Complete cover that extends things for an additional 2 years. When l logged into the device page a few months ago the warranty was showing as expired but I had to get the MS Store support to correct the warranty cover for me.
