Xbox dvi input

    Im running my xbox with progressive scan through a device ive got some time ago. Things are working great. The standard connection is VGA from the device to my Ae500 projector. Ive seen a VGA to DVI lead though. Is DVI better quality than VGA?
    Ive got a DVI input on the back of my projector thaat im not using.

    I may be wrong Dan but simply coverting the signal from vga to dvi via a cable will not improve the picture quality.

    Yes, you'll only get VGA via DVI if you use a convertor (assuming DVI-I, "integrated", both analogue & digital).

    Most DVI-VGA adapters are for DVI to VGA.

    So, no "digital" DVI output available from the xbox.

    and the ae500 only accepts Dvi-D not Dvi-I
