hi, got my xbox a few days ago and ive fallen in love with it already, but the only problem is when i play games such as halo, pgr2 i can hear a noticeable whiring noise inside the controller (and no its not the rumble!) is there something wrong with my controller laready? it happens at certain points during halo then stops but is constant throughout playing pgr2, do i need to take the whole thing back just to get a new controller?

There's nothing physically capable of making a whirring noise in an X-Box controller apart from the rumble.

Sounds like it is the rumble but just a low levels. You get this a little in halo whe you get hit with an energy weapon and your shield regenerates I think.

It is your rumbler, I had the same concern when playing pgr2 - it just sounds like a high pitched whine. If you open your controller (as I did) you will see the motors turing very slowly, not entirely sure why they do it, but its nothing to worry about!

    Enjoy your new purchase!

You can turn off the rumble feature in PGR2, just goto the options menu, then controler setting and then press x(iirc) to switch the rumble on or off.
