    This how its done
    :lesson:

get your self a spare fly lead for an xbox controller
yes this is the small lead which connects Xbox to main controller lead

    1. cut off Xbox plug and strip back the outer cover

    2. get your self a usb lead for any pc device and cut off the
device end leaving USB on lead strip back outer cover as on fly
Fly lead (could be best to use official microsoft )

    3. You should now see that all the colours are the same on the
individual wires except the yellow on xbox which you dont
need as this is for the head set

    4. join all the wires colour to colour and tape and join or some
thing (Colours may differ if using a cheap usb lead)

    5. Right now all you need is the Xbox ctrl driver for pc which is
on the web and is downladable

    6. configure joypad as you would if using a shop bought
Joystick for PC and your up and running now you have a
Xbox controller for PC and just detach fly lead and put new
one back on and back on ya Xbox

I have been informed that this works well on halo for PC

Anything you do to your own equip I cannot be held responseable for

    :hiya: :smashin:

Sorry to be dull, but why on earth would you want to play Halo on a PC with an X-Box controller?

I can understand the use of controllers for arcade games and emu's (which I use it for) but for an FPS no controller can match the old keyboard and mouse.

Good guide though, thanks :) Alternatively you could buy a premade converter http://www.whitedog.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=322 for a tenner :)
