Hello. I have my XBOX hooked up to my PC via my TV tuner card. Im using the regular xbox cable and the video is being output via (the regular) composite into my tv card (Compro TV Gold+). I am using DSCALER software to play xbox games on my monitor. I am aware that MOST, if not all, games for xbox can output the signal as 480p (progressive) thus, no deinterlacing would be required. So far everything looks just fine. But I was wondering whether the signal is truly being sent as progressive via the composite cable or is it being sent as interlaced signal? If it is being sent out as progressive, then dscaler will NOT have to deinterlace the output and use cpu cycles doing so. If the signal is being sent as interlaced, how can I make it so that the xbox sends out a progressive signal.

    Thanx.

    It's being sent interlaced.

You need an NTSC, chipped or soft modded X-Box to output progressive scan.
