    Total noob here.

I got a 40" HD LCD and I want my xbox 360 to look the bees knees on it.

Do I use the RGB cable supplied with the xbox or do I plug it in using the pc monitor style connector on the back of th TV (9 pins or something lol, told u I was noob). If so whats the best one to buy and where would I get one.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

Well the "RGB" cable you talk about that came with the console, is a component input cable, which will enable you to display in full HD resolution and should have it looking it's best.

The VGA cable will do just the same, but some have noted that the colours are not as vibrant as they are with component, but I'm sure it's nothing a little bit of careful calibration couldn't fix.

Really, it's down to your choice in the end, as both cables will give an excellent HD picture.

Well personally I would first try out the component cable before you go out and spend £20 on the VGA cable because if you see nothing wrong with the picture the component provides, why upgrade.

This is assuming that you've got a premium and not a core, as the core doesn't come with a HD lead.
