It appears sony have taken microsofts idea of parties and also a guide function!!!

This mock-up doesn't look too good but there have been some awesome ones in the past. Probably never happen though as i think Sony throttled themselves because of the lack of unified RAM

All it had in the forum was 'Xbox fanboys' Slagging PS3's and Sony and quoting

How comical! That's what industry is all about, the 360 would be without a DVD drive right now if companies wouldn't be allowed to follow other companies' footsteps!!

It couldn't have an ethernet port as a console before hand has already had one...

I actually think the XMB needs an overhaul - or at least a speed boost, I really don't see why I has to load the list of XMB options everytime you access it in-game - I mean, why do I have to wait for the "quit game" icon to appear before I can actually quit out? Does the PS3 forget what options are supposed to go where?

Just hold the PS button on the pad a bit longer so you get the 'quit game' on that menu. Much quicker.

Agreed. And why does the XMB insist on downloading the avatar pics every time it populates your friends list (even when some of your friends use the same pic). The number of avatars available are still very limited so why isn't this cached? XMB seems to have slowed down considerably since the v3.0 update.

The worst thing in 3.0 is the fact they put the PS store where the trophy icon was. Have to move up an extra icon now

Cheers for posting that. That looks ok, has all the info there. I think I prefer the menu on the PS but it's a case of what you're used to really.
