That is what some people did with the PS2 and XBOX, you just need to make sure your TV can handle NTSC 60hz and that you have a stepdown converter.

Of course you can import the xbox 360 - you will be stuck to playing the Usa games but thats not a real problem.
Not sure where you are getting the £399.99 price of the UK xbox 360 - Its going to be under £300 - I'm betting on £249.99 as the launch price.

Its bad enough having to pay the same pound for dollar for most things in this country but to pay more!! I seriuosly doubt it, even if they did many game stores will just sell the american version over here with the necessary adapters like the psp.

Play.com have got it wrong, though MS havent confirmed the price they have hinted at it being a reasonable figure, my moneys on 299 sterling.

I work for a games shop and to be honest the rumour doing the rounds is it could come out at a price near the PSP's to get everyones attention as there is only a probably a months time between their release dates. Cannot wait to get my 360 demo pod into my shop in november

I read up on every gaming website pretty much every day.

There has been no confimation from Microsoft on a price either here or in the UK.

There is no way in a million years that Microsoft will launch a console for £400. They launched the original Xbox at £299 and that lasted for about two weeks, then it was £199.

The rumours are that the 360 will laund at $299 in USA and £299 in the UK. Thats a pretty realistic price as they are first on the block with the next gen consoles.

Its a marketing gimmick from Play. They havent a clue how much it will retail for in the UK - Because MS havent released the prices yet.

It will definately cost less than £300. Its more than likely to be £249, I am still hoping though it will come in @ £199. They would sell absolutely **** loads of them at that price.

However it it looks like we are going to get shafted I will try and pick one up when im in Florida in November.

MS have been very careful in the manufacture of these things this time, they learnt alot from the costly mistakes making the xbox. I just have a sneaking feeling it will be £199 over here. We can but hope.

:rotfl: :D :rotfl: The 360 will not be £400 in the UK. I can guarantee that. Imagine we pay $730 and the US pays $300! I've heard of rip-off Britain, but thats a step too far! Play's pre-order price is an absolute maximum to cover their backs.

The UK price will be close to the US price, just a touch more expensive. The sensible money is on a £250 launch price.

From £250 to £300, and even for $300 price MS will be losing money, I don't think MS will reduce the price to £200. Well we can all hope.

MS will shoot themselves in the foot if they price this over £300. I’m with harrisuk on this, I think it will probably sell for £250.

MS reckon the relase dates will be 'within weeks' of each other. I'd guess Oct for US, Nov/early Dec for Europe.

Hey you know I was never sure if a US one would work over here or not, if I was to buy a US Xbox would it work with my current LIVE account or would I have to purchase another account?

It's sad but I really want Godzilla online lol

I'd love to see it released at £200 or less, I believe £250 is moast likely, though £300 is always a possibility.

Not going into production until September = no where near enough stock for Christmas :( If thats true I doubt they will even be able to supply the US adequately let alone Europe :(

You can definately use US Xboxes on Live in the UK. And yes UK live accounts work on them.

This has been covered on the forums before if you do a search. IF they arent starting to make these things until September buying one from the states will not be an option anyway.
