    Hi All

Ive got the hitachi 32ld7200 lcd tv

just bought a xbox 360 component cable

plugged it all in and i notice that 420p, 720p and 1080i are all availible modes

ive checked out 720p and 1080i on dead or alive 4... and i cant really see any differance, i know my tv will downscale 1080i

which mode is it best for me to run in for best quality picture?

to be fair i can hardly see a differance between the 3 mode's - lol, am i blind?

What do you think of this set? Am considering it from Richer Sounds but am also interested in the new JVC 32" and the Panny

There is no visual difference.. you're not blind ;)

However, there is a reason you should prefer 720p over anything else: it is the quickest mode!! 1080i is sure to suffer a degree of input lag as the image needs to be buffered to be de-interlaced, 720p, on the other hand goes un-delayed (or at least significantly less delayed) to the screen... this means you will perform better on 720p :D

    Ok mate.

Cheers - Really Appreciate It :smashin:

I've had another look amd i hink 1080i seems marginally better picture wise, but i gather that would be better for games that dont really need the fps boost.... if im looking at a fast paced action game (COD 2) 720p is better i guess
