I usually watch standard def divxes, streamed from my Network Hard drive.

Is it worth upgrading my current normal connection with a hidef kit? I'll be feeding an LCD screen which will upscale anyway.

For games Xbox360 will be along shortly, so this question would only be for media.

If there is little or no difference on normal divxes, can you download and play hidef ones?

It's definitely worth it, apart from anything else the 960x528 ones have a DD5.1 AC3 track and the picture is far superior. XBMC should just about cope with those versions (they're about 700MB as apposed to 350MB).

Just watched Smallville season 5 premier in 960x528 played on the XBox scales upto 720p on the 42 incher in Dolby Dig  makes you realise how far behind UK TV broadcasts are in the picture and sound department.

XBMC rocks IMO, been watching "Over There" on my xbox and the results were excellent, think i'll be running my xbox alongside my 360 when it comes, ive too much music and movies on it now to bin it anyway. :D
