Resi 5 a launch title? That surprises me I must say. PGR3 and GR3 for me, now we just need a definite date and price!

I read that list the other day but it has been incorrectly labled as "launch titles".

Winning Eleven is definately not a launch title for example as it's due out Q4 2006. Rumble Rose XX is even further behind in development. Ridge Racer 6 also does not have a launch date as yet.

I think this is more a list of titles currently in development for release in year 1.

I very much doubt all of those titles will be released at launch. Where did you get the list from GG?

1UP had it first here and it was a rather hasty translation which they mention could be incorrect. I'm sure that some of those games will be launch titles but it's more a list of 1st year release titles to me.

Agreed they cant all be launch titles. They were talking about 24 games available for launch and 40 in the launch period. Thats with 1 month of launch.

Still dont know when its being launched and how much, they are certainly leaving it late. Got to say its not looking promising currently, I hope they can manufacture enough gear

This looks to me like the list of games that were talked about at the Xbox summit in Japan recently. It's definately not a release list as Resi 5 and Winning Eleven have been announced for 2006, with winning eleven not due untill autumn 2006. I also wouldn't expect resi much before autumn next year either.

I got so excited when I saw this thread title too. :(

I thought a lot of those titles seemed japanese. For example why was winning eleven called that and not by the US or UK title?

Also THQ Japan and not just THQ.

A bit weird since the 360's not supposed to come to japan untill after EU and US.

They are a list of games coming to the Japanese 360, from the recent X-Box Japan Summit. The console is hitting all 3 regions simultaneously - a first for the industry. MS seem very serious about capturing the Japanese market and they look to be doing all they can to succeed.

Releasing in the East at the same time as the West and signing up a lot of Japanese publishers to produce games specifically for the Japanese market shows that they really mean business this time.
