Got my copy of X-Men yesterday, and wasn't overly impressed.
The packaging is just silly and would have been better in a standar Amaray.
Okay there were some pretty cool scenes (like in the snow etc), but the dialogue between characters was a bit silly. It all seemed to be limited to buzz-words and one liners.
It wasn't a bad film, but nowhere near as good as The Matrix or Blade.
Sound wasn't bad though, and picture was very good.

This was the only film this year that I saw at the cinema without the girlfriend. She refused to go see it so I had to take my 12 year old cousin.

I enjoyed it. Im not a huge fan of the comics but thought that Hugh Jackmans portrayal of Wolveriene was great and that nobody could play Prof X besides Patrick Stewert.

As a comic book movie I found it to be much better than Batman which realy betrayed the Batman myth and legend. X-men was above all really enjoyable and fun.

Yes it does set its self up for a sequal and those with a keen eye could see younger x-men such as Ice Man and The beast already in the cast !

Usual question Miles, where did you get it from so quick? It's one of the films I didn't get to see at the cinema but really wanted to (baby just arrived = zero cinema visits) because I used to be into the comics.
Also how much did you pay for the early delivery?

Wolverine was okay but it was the old guy Magneto who stole the show.

Just the opportunity to see Famke Jansen run around in tight clothes is good enough for me.
I haven't seen it yet, but the little boy in me that watched the cartoons years ago can't wait.
A good comic book sci-fi film is always good fun.
    I know I won't be disappointed.

Aye, it is okay, and yer right Patrick Stewart is the man! The characters on their own were good, but some of the dialogue between Wolverine and Cyclops was just a bit silly. One was quite funny though. When he had to prove he was the real one and his response was "Yer a d*ck".
It is good, just not as good as I hoped.

I'm a big fan and I say it is worthy of the hype. I saw it at the cinema and loved it - personnaly I think it's one of the best comic book adaptations to date.

Got my copy this morning - can't wait to watch it later. I agree about the packaging though, why bother? Not a great disc either, no wonder they're planning a SE next year.
