Mines in the post from DVDSoon for the grand total of £10.82

    21.98 CAD DVD
    3.98 CAD P&P
    25.96 CAD Total

divided by 2.39 (from my credit card statement)

    = £10.82.

Without being smug, anyone beat that?

I am more than a little disappointed that they did not release this version the first time round. I hope they will do a box set with both X-Men movies in their latest special edition formats once the new one is released.

Felix if you want an other head up and know something about the Marvel universe and want a good X-Man read try this book. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos...305/sr=1-42/ref=sr_1_2_42/202-5340217-7547016
X-Men - The Chaos Engine 1: Doctor Doom (X-men) Steven Roman, I borrowed it from the library and thoughrely enjoyed it and was probably the best X-Men novel I’ve read. I saw some one reading a X-Men comic, on my way in to return it and mentioned it and he picked it he too enjoyed it and is looking forward to the second part in the trilogy.:smashin:

I use them frequently, never had a problem. Postage usually takes between 7 and 10 days.

Nice to see you took my post as it was intended, unlike another member....

Now now settle down, Castle and Doc.
Castle I think doc’s comment was a joke in reply to your ‘Without being smug’ but sometimes when the comment is aimed it can appear as though it is getting personal and a smile at the end of his comment might have given a clue to the intent such as  or ;) or even :D.

Anyway I hope you all enjoy you DVD.

Castle do they use the same music to play over the end titles as the used on the first DVD and the general relies film I got the sound track of the film the other day and it is not on and was a little disappointed.

Garrett is right. I meant no malice with my feeble attempt at humour - I've not been the same since the operation:)

    Consider my feathers straightened.

I don't know if you're a Starwars fan, but 'Apology accepted captain Needer'!

    ;)

Back to the disk, what do we think of the extras?

    Anyone sat through them yet?

The extras on the 1.5 are excellent. It does IMHO make its purchase worthwhile - even if you have the origional. I do get miffed however when this kind of special ed. release occurs when you've already forked out for the disc. At least with LOTR they announced in advance that the Sp. Ed. would be along later in the year, giving you the option of waiting.

Should have this by the weekend...really looking forward to it. Haven't watched it on DVD yet...only my vhs copy :( so I expect it to be a great experience. Its a brilliant film though.

The extras should be good but I don't expect to watch them more than once.

I am and know what you mean:nono: If you do I'll be force to [IMG];)

I must say I got wind of them bringing a updated version of the disc not long after the original was realised on this forum. So I hung on.

Has the new one got the cut scenes inserted in the film or are they still separate?

The disc has an "Enhanced Viewing Mode". Which allows you to view them in the relevant point of the movie via branching technology

The existing R2 SE does that. It's not seamless though.

Cheers Garrett. That's a shame as it would've been the only reason to make me want to 'upgrade' my R2 SE.

There was some talk of the seamless branching but alas :( (I know they did an extended version of Independence Day on one disc). I see the Mutant Watch is missing from the new disk. I see there is a DTS on the new disk but I have been informed that it is not that great by one member:rolleyes: (no DTS or 5.1 at present myself(have a wind up amp)).

    Garratt

    Castle is indeed for Frank.

I thought that using the monicker of Punisher would bring up too many S&M conotations/questions!

Been a fan since about 1990 and now have (to my knowledge) every comic appearance. I cheated a little with some re-prints as I didn't fancy forking out for AS 129.

I have high hopes for the Movie due next year and shudder at the thought of that travesty with Dolph.

    :(

Just realised this is somewhat off-topic, but you did ask!

I borrowed my mates copy over the weekend and the music of the end title starts like the music when they are taking off in the jet just after Cyclops says ‘What would you prefer yellow spandex’.
