Thanks Simon - I put this on my to-rent list. :)

At £35 this is pretty good value. I'm undecided. I like these films, but don't LOVE them. I might love them if they're a spectacular 4K showcase... on the fence.

Picked the set up with 10% cashback on £35 from eBay yesterday. These have never ranked highly for me but I'm a shameless UHD addict and the scores have been positive.

Also, somebody bought me DoFP on UHD for a gift a while back too. I don't think they realised that this meant I would have a burning compulsion to acquire the trilogy set in UHD at the earliest opportunity. Just ordered the Apocalypse UHD too :thumbsdow

Now you see why I'm hesitant. It's a slippery slope. :D

      But what about First Class...
At least these three come in a cheapish box set. No such luck with the re-boots; although they are usually in a 2 for £30 deal, there are three of them...:(

I watched the first one the other day and it's a nice looking effort although grain can get a bit intrusive at times with sky shots or plain blank light coloured walls. But not enough for a confessed grainophobe to turn on DNR. And the mere 5.1 soundtrack beats the Atmos one of Solo or Thor etc if upscaled to Atmos/DTS-X.

Why did you have to go and remind me of First Class :( Another order goes in.

Fox will probably churn out a set with all six movies in time for Dark Phoenix. At least that is what I keep telling myself to justify that I haven't bought this yet :D

Hugh Jackman is like Sir Patrick Stewart. He has not aged much in the 18 years since the first X-Men film.
