I have had it pre-ordered with Choices Direct for nearly a month now at £149.99 but apart from the fact that it will include all 9 Seasons nothing is known about the set. It could be just the M-Lock releases at a special price or it could be all the discs in Special Edition packaging, no one knows.

Just pre-ordered the boxset - good value at £16.50(ish) per season. I stopped watching The X Files half way through season 4 as I didn't have the time and there was too much else on - looking forward to finding out what happened.

Just a quick question though: where does the movie fit in? and is it included in the boxset (can't see it listed so I assume not)?

yes, I allready knew that and asked them too about wheater the discs contain dutch subs.
    Their answer:

    Thank you for your email.
I am sorry but it apears from our website that the only subtitles will be in english for the hard of hearing.

Duh!!! If I was content with the info on their website would I have sent them an email?

This looks like excellent value to me, I've not got any X-Files DVDs so this could be my chance to get them all :) How many DVDs are there in this entire collection ?

    Gary D :hiya:

Loads of them got collared by customs. :thumbsdow

    John G :hiya:

There is aprox 20-24 epsiodes per series. So average 6-7 discs per series.

X-Files is a must for any collection, grab this boxset its a bargain.

I've just seen this which seems to suggest 23 DVDs in the entire collection, so does this mean they have crammed more episodes on each disc

Isnt it impossible to fit 201 episodes onto 23 DVDs? as that would work out around 8 episodes per disc and even using DVD9s you cant fit more than 4 episodes on a disc.
I suppose they could be using double sided dual layered discs but I hope not, would be better to just put the already released discs in new packaging like they did with the Buffy discs.

It doesn't add up for me either, 200 episodes can't fit on 23 discs surely.

Looks like Amazon's data is more realistic...

    Edition Details:
    • Region 2 encoding (Europe, Japan, South Africa and the Middle East including Egypt). Read more about DVD formats.
    • PAL
    • Number of discs: 59
    • ASIN: B000AAF9Q0
    • Catalogue Number: 3093401000

Though that almost seems too many now... :rotfl:

That seems a more likely figure than 23 :)

I have only ordered from them a few times before but never had any problems and the items arrived in good time.
