    Hi, newbie here.
I am just about to get my X-Box modded and change the hard drive to a 60Gb one I have lying around.
However, this will probably lose all my saved games etc on the existing disk.
Does anyone know of a good way of preserving them or copying them to the new hard drive?
    Thanks

download Xsave manager - Connect to your P.C via ftp and use program to extract gamesaves onto P.C - Mod xbox and then zap gamesaves back to the XBox!

I thought you could only hook the ftp up once you'd done the mod? If so you can put a memory card in your controller, copy the games to that then copy them back to the xbox after the mod.

If you can FTP before the mod that would be quicker and easier.

why dont you mod the xbox (not changing the hard disk), boot up with a dashboard disc, ftp to the xbox copy the game saves partition to your PC, Burnout 3 will not copy well, so be warned. Put the new hdd new, Boot up with your hard disk prepare cd, once its all done ftp back to the xbox and copy your saves back again.
If that all sounds confusing check out www.xbox-scene.com
