I'm looking to get an X-box chipped and modded with a 120 gb HD. My chipper mentioned the Apple chip as being the one he fits that still allows connection to live. Does anyone have any experience of this chip?

    Thanks
    Graham

How much does he charge for install chip and 120gb drive?

£60 with the drive provided by me (120gb's are around £50 at the moment).

    whooo! tidy profit there.
I charged £35 on the last 4 boxes i chipped and they were with far better chips. But its completely up to you. I just finished my chips so onto some new xeniums (still better than x3 i think - best on market atm) for about £45.
If he sets it all up for you and stuff like that then its not an awful price to pay i spose.....

That price is for installation of the HD as well - he charges £45 for the chip itself. Are HD's with Evo X easy to install yourself?

if you use slayer install disk (sometimes known as superdisk) it does it all for you - bios - format the drive - settings - programs - apps etc etc.
Try and get hd and chip together for £50. Given the xbox is open its no skin off the persons back to undo 2 more screws and screw them back into a different hard drive....

    Explicitlyrics,

As innocent as your comments may have been, there's a fine line between helping others out, and self-promotion ;)

Could you please avoid promoting your own business (or services :p) so openly on the forums please.

    Many Thanks,

    Kelvin.
