X-Box 360 not working with Dell 2350 Router

I have read many posts on many forums relating to people having problems with their X-Box 360 not working with a Dell 2350 router. Most problems if not all are the MTU setting on the router is not adequate for the box. The million dollar question is how do you change the MTU setting? There is nowhere in any of the administrative settings for the router. Can anyone offer solutions instead of suggestions? Dell wants to charge me money since the router is out of warranty.

thanx

Just a quick question. Do you use the 360 network adaptor?

Sorry just now replying, but we use only a cable from X-Box console to modem to get X-Box live to work. Hope this answers your question.
