www1 detectorriskprotector pl virus pop up?? Is this a fake

    Hi all, I just saw this pop up saying my computer is infected.. I have MS Essentials for viruses and its upto date. I know there are loads of fake virus warning that are just scams has anyone else seen this pop up? Google has nothing to say about it at all and I found that strange.

    I'm running a full scan at present.....thanks for any advice.

    Hi, its a scam, don`t do that, you will be prompted to download a cleaner to remove the infection and that will be a virus download, just ignore it. Run your own full system scan to be on the safe side.:smashin:

    Yes, this looks like it is from an infected website.
    I had something similar earlier in the year.

    alt+f4 to close that window then remove your temporary internet files and don't click that link again ;)
