    Hi,

Looks like the TV i have hooked up to my xbox is about to go bang. So, need a new 28" nicam widescreen TV.

What is the cheapest non-brand tv (ie supermarket) TV and branded TV?

    Many thanks,

    Matthew

this is cheap but skybuy have had some problems and many on here and on other boards are still waiting for their sets (diff TV). Just depends on how quickly you need a new set.

    TV here

That Sky offer looks tempting (28" Widescreen for £110) but note they add £28 for delivery and there's no stand.

However that still sounds like a good deal, but does anyone know if a stand is available, please?

I've taken the plunge and ordered one of these for my son's room.

It's obviously not going to compare with my Panny 36PD30, but Tight Git can never resist a bargain and £110 was just rediculous!

    Delivery promised for next Wednesday.

Both the Goodmans and the Toshiba are basically the same set with different case. They are made by Vestel in Turkey. Good basic sets, reliable, pretty reasonable picture but normally have fairly poor speakers.

Just reporting back to say that the TV arrived this morning.

It was a week late, but the 2 delivery men had set out at 4am to drive from Stoke-on-Trent down to the south coast!

Pleased to say it worked first time out of the box and, within the above limitation, has good performance and features.

My thanks to jtorry for pointing TG towards the bargain of the year!

Safeway or dixons (if yours is closing) are worth a look.

    Neither do I !

I bought the Goodmans from Skybuy for £110.

The next day it was advertised at £150 and the day after that it was sold out!

I seem to have been exceptionally lucky.

And it's all thanks to this Forum.
