Ordered a 4K for the first time from wowhd several months back, it arrived as expected. Since then I've ordered 2 more, Cabin In The Woods and Ex_Machnia, both at the end of August. And... nothing. I emailed their customer support via the website, received 2 automated replies promising a response. And... nothing. Anyone experienced same? Are they still in business?

Had a disc from them earlier this week, so yes, they’re still in business as far as I’m aware.

I've ordered some BD's about 2 weeks ago from WOW and they have yet to arrive. None of them have a tracking number attached.

Wowhd is rated "Bad" with 2.8 / 10 on Trustpilot They have pretty terrible reviews as well. Once my BD's arrive (if they arrive) I'll probably stop buying things from them.

The saying "you get what you pay for" really does apply to Wow. Their prices are cheap. Their customer service is crap. Wow stuff usually takes about 10 days to arrive but according to Screen Archives who I am chasing a couple of Twilight Time discs over claim that at the moment there is a problem in the US with international items taking much longer than usual. SAE usually take 10 days too but I'm on day 19 so far so at the end of this week I may well be testing the SAE claim they won't replace or refund lost items if you've not paid an exorbitant insurance fee.

So you're not alone in waiting for US items over due.
They are great when things go right but the Wow problem is when things go wrong. It's a question of price v service and until something goes wrong most people will use them.

Been ordering regularly from wow over the last 18 months or so, have had very few problems aside from lengthening delivery times.

No problems here. Ordered lots recently and everything has shipped super quick.

Not needed to have any contact with them (which is good).

My favourite retailer at the moment.

I recently bought four discs from them. My first order from them. They arrived around two weeks later. Given how cheap they were I was well pleased.

general rule of thumb with wow and their other company's is.... if you don't have to contact them, then its all tickety-boo
If you DO have to contact them? well roll the dice, you may get lucky and get a response and even luckier and have your issue sorted, or you may get a rude reply, or even more likely no reply at all
Those scores at the review sites are there for a reason.
I still use their companies (mainly deepdiscount, who ironically enough if you actually ring them, are usually far better than WOW) but am fully aware that the downside of their ability to supply me US discs is some truly terrible CS

Although that is like looking at a star, what we see now is what they were when the light left them many years ago.
Wow were in business when they posted but now...

Anyway I have received a reply to a cancellation request today so they were still in business at 18.06pm today.

The USPS tracking claims they have not even received it yet. I've emailed SAE twice so I'm not sure whether to give them one more chance or just contact the credit card company. I don't think SAE can refuse to replace or refund despite their attempts at extortion on their site.
Who will pay $45 to cover a $30 Bluray?
I've had SAE orders several times over the years and this is the first one to not arrive in 2 weeks max.

    Wow seem back running now

Yep the $45 ,but on their site according to them, its because of the high loss of packages to the UK,same here most of mine have arrived within 2 weeks :)

Yup, back up with 100s of things deleted and the worst thing is they often replace one item with the DVD version (totally different UPC) so I'm sure some people get caught out, They do that at DeepDiscount.com too.

I think we're relying quite a bit on this company gawd knows what would happen if they disappeared. There'd be virtually no competition.

If we're to mourn the loss of any company, it's Axel Music.

what was that Canadian DVD company called that ran for a couple of years at obscenely cheap prices, then went bust taking wedges of peoples money with them? (I lost £60 if i remember rightly, but saved waaaaaaay more than that in their prices over the proceeding years)

    I loved using DVDworld-USA.
Used to get my titles about 2-3 weeks before even the US release date.
£22-25 usually for the Blu delivered & they were pretty quick

If we’re really taking a trip down memory lane how about Laser Enterprises- with their black & white catalogue of Laserdisc releases
