Well as a paying member of Flickr I have yet to add any fav to my list, today I came across this photographer and I just love and admire the quality of the pictures.

It may not be your thing, but have a look and I would be interested in your comments.

    Cheers

    Grant

You can see a persons favourites in their profile.

The photographer that Grant is talking about is this one.

Well, now we're commenting on the one Grant was actually talking about, I've had a good look and the images are quite astounding. Perhaps not better than alot of other stuff out there, and they do sometimes suffer a little from overindulgence and narcissism, but overall I was very impressed.
Viewers beware though: if you have an aversion to the whole "we're-in-love-and-we-love-to-show-it-all-over-flickr-and-we-have-so-many-flickr-friends-who-are-SOOOO-supportive" kind of flickr stuff, then approach with caution.;)

    Cheers for posting this Grant.

Have to agree with you, but her understanding of composition and her ability to imagine a shot are very impressive and I believe she is only 18. She does however use a lot of photshop on her images which i am not a great fan of but she produces some very mystical shots:smashin:

Her blog has some before and after images! Its quite interesting to see the the originals are just normal shots and its the PP that makes them look good. Don't take that as me trying to detract from the photos though as they are still very good.

ARFotography blog, by Aaron Nace and Rosie Hardy

I know PP isn't to everyone's taste but it does help!

Interesting link. I often wonder how the photos look before with these flickr celebs.
Edit, I assumed they were American but it looks like Rosie has taken most of those near me in the Peak District. Hmmmmm

Doesn't detract from the finished product. Looking at the 'before' shots, they seem to have a real creative skill and forward thinking to produce the finish image. I would love to have that level of PS skills.

Ive noticed on FlickR, having an attractive model seems to make people flock.....

I notice one shot which look British country side-ish. The gushing blog gives it an American feel though. (Maybe its just the way 'kids' are today!)

In my last post was was trying to not make it sound like it was detracting so sorry if it did. Like you said though it does show forward thinking because if you have a finished idea you still need the image to get you to there.

I too would like to be able to do PP like that and seriously starting to think about getting off my backside and doing something about it! Well thats if you can call looking at websites getting off my backside

I wouldn't say attractiveness isn't the only reason she's getting all those views!

Some where I read that she's in Darbyshire I think. He's in America so that could explain the American feel.
