I need to go back to Lion because my Apogee Duet 2 doesn't work with Mountain Lion.

I've got my old HDD that I replaced with an SSD. The HDD has Lion on. I don't suppose I could just clone the operating system across keeping the documents, music, photos, applications, etc. using Carbon Copy Cloner

    Thanks

Sounds a bit messy. If you purchased Lion previously you can re-download it via you purchases history in app store for free and do a clean install, then use your CC back up to move stuff back over.
