For six grand, that is an absolute bargain.

Of course, the rental on 35mm feature films is going to be a bit more than LoveFilm charges for a dvd.

Wonder how much a plush red cinema seat goes for? Always fancied getting one of those.

For 6K you're gettin' a heluva lot of stuff.

No idea what you'd do with all the other rubbish but for all of it with 40 LEATHER AND STEEL DIRECTORS CHAIRS & 170 RED PLUSH CINEMA SEATS seems pretty good, even if they are looking pretty vintage :rotfl:

Easy. Just get 6,000 of the members here to each pay £1 and it's ours. Pay £10 each and that would cover renting somewhere to put it all. £100 each and... well, that would be a rather impressive project :).

Hi,

I was offered a job with that cinema, but turned it down due to being in the middle of nowhere.

It was at this old theatre, that had been turned into a small, 200-odd seater cinema, in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.

The only problem was, that hardly anyone came, and they closed earlier this year. The projection booth was tiny, and the cinema/town was in the middle of nowhere with little-to-no public transport available.

I also note in the eBay listing, that it says that the buyer will have to remove and collect all the equipment at their own cost. Thus, the £6k price seems cheap, but adding removal and extraction costs may push that price up much more.
