Does the AE500 & AE700 have the same lamp life as the AE200 in low power mode (around 5000hrs)??

Also Do they both have the same throw distance as the AE200??

Do the replacement lamps cost the same??

I'm asking this as at some point I'm thinking about selling my AE200 and getting the AE500 or AE700, and would generally like to carry on using the projector in the same place as I use my AE200

What are the differences from the AE500 & AE700?

check out the screenshots may not show images as sharp due to camera movement. but the 700 is highly specified for the price and HD ready it can be watched in a dimmed roomhttp://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=205504&highlight=lofty

The 500/700 lamp hours are 5000 hours in low mode (I have 3000 hours on my 700 already). The main difference between 500 & 700 is the contrast ratio which makes the blacks on the 700 true blacks. My mate upgraded his 500 to a 700 is is v.happy :) :)

    sbowler :

I just checked out the pics, I must say there is a hell of a difference from the 200 :) I watch in a darkened room anyway, so I guess it will be quite good

    DEANO-B :

Thats very good to know :smashin: at least I wont have to worry about a difference to the lamp life.

Is the 500 HD ready too?

How much are they both ? Much of a price difference?

Where would be the best place to buy them?

I bought my last one from the Techtronics site (which doesnt appear to be there anymore) I was thinking somthing along the lines of digital direct maybe?

    thanks for the help guys

The 500 is HD ready but is not a current model any longer so it would be a second hand purchase. The 700 is available from quite a few online retatilers for less than £1000
