Better speakers and one more HDMI connection on the 700.

    chunkauli,

Further to Andy Jack's info. The PZ70B will take a 1080p/24fps input, the PZ700B will not. What the PZ70b does with the input is the subject of a separate debate. Also worth noting that the 3rd HDMI socket on the PZ700b is at the front of the TV - not ideal for connecting PS3/DVD/SHYHD etc.

For me the PZ70B (available now for ~GBP1000) is the best value for money.

It will always be the best value for money if you've already bought a pz70.

I have a pz700 my father has a px70 and there's a fair bit of difference in terms of quality of sound plus the addition of pip/text modes is a worthwhile feature to have,it is though often sneered at by those who don't have it on their sets so don't expect it to receive any attention.

Just my opinion but i feel the pz700 is a better looking set as well although when weighing up cost that wouldn't necessarily sway me anymore than a contrived 24fps image would.

The choice boils down to value at the end of the day and what you want for your money, for my part i paid £300 more than a pz70 and to me its worth it as i don't have a dedicated home cinema setup nor do i have obsessively perfect 20/20 vision to keep happy.

It will always be the better looking TV to someone who has already purchased one.;)

As for PIP, my bedroom TV has this function and I have never used it in 4 years. PIP is a useless function to most.

Lets not get down to petty scoring here. The PZ70B with its genuine handling of 24hz playback and lack of a front HDMI and slightly worse sound is a massive bargain for FULL HD plasmas. There is no doubt about that. I know which one I'd rather have if I was spending my money. Which I have done. The 400 squid I saved paid for my PS3.:smashin:
