philips 30pf9975, got it just as it came out. Cost me £2k from JL, so 5 year guarantee.

Want to upgrade to a HD ready set (which this isn't, but its still a great set)

Now, would I be able to get a reasonable amount of money for this to someone not too bothered about HD ready? Or for the money I'd lose, would I be better off just keeping it and using it in the spare room? (can't help thinking its overkill as a spare TV)

Obviously I wouldn't make anything like its value back, but roughly what do you think would be a fair price for putting it in the paper, bearing in mind the current environment of LCD sets?

do you think I'd get £500 for it?

Thats crap (cost me £2k), yet at the same time would fund an upgrade to 37/40"

And we are a one TV household, so I wouldn't miss a 2nd TV.....
