When the Sky system was installed in Aug 01, the original DRX200 box was replaced with the DRX100. as it's over a year old now, is it worth upgrading the DRX100 with something a bit better?? What differences with picture/sound quality would there be, if at all?

    Cheers,
    David.

Why did you let them swap a new DRX200 for an old DRX100?

The DRX100 is one of the most reliable Digiboxes, once its tuner module has been replaced with an upgraded type.

However, it's considerable slower to respond to commands, although the picture and audio quality is as good as any newer model.

I've had my DRX300 for a year now and I'm more than happy with it .

I don't any problem apart from the occasional lock-up

I don't leave it in standby for long but rather turn it off as I've heard most of the digibox's suffer from over heating

The DRX200 was faulty - corrupt icons on the main menu displays. I was told that I'd get a Grundig, but ended up with the DRX100. we'd just moved in, so I had other things on my mind!
