    Hi all

I'm about to buy the Panasonic DMR-E50 but am debating whether to buy MR or not.

I've heard they can cause some problems with viewing quality?

Or is worth being able to play DVDs from around the world? I would say I'm a light to moderate watcher of films.

    Help please!

Yes, it's worth it. You can save the cost of the MR mod within a few weeks by importing. Plus you can obtain titles that are unavailable in R2 land and/or avoid censorship issues. Other regions often have different/better editions. And so on. The flexibility is well worth it.

No, it should not affect picture quality, all other things being equal. Typically, the MR mod affects a different part of the player to that involved with image quality. The two should not interact.
