Not sure if a thread this specific has ever been started but here goes.
my vote goes to :- Boa versus Python, after having spent my valuable hours watching this rubbish surely this has got to be the worst film ever,i am glad i rented it,if i'd have purchased it i have been really peeved, the only good thing about this disc would be to hang it from a tree and use it as a bird scarer.
    Opinions :)

No offense - but the title screams "Danger Danger Will Robinson" :)

I would say IMO the worst movie I've ever seen is either "The Lost Empire" - seriously dodgy 1980's movie or "Universal Soldier" the first movie I've ever come out thinking "I want those 2 hours BACK!".

I know some people like US - but c'mon Van Damme and Lundgren - hardly gonna get an Oscar for Best Anything really.

Personally i think Babewatch7 was pretty bad, poor camerawork and acting and generally lazy direction with a plot which wouldnt fit on a dust mites head.

    Battlefield Earth for me.

I like Universal Soldier and it the only Van Damme film I like along with Timecop.

voodoo academy.. god i had to switch it off after about 2 minutes, it was that bad. the opening scene had a voodoo lady doing some sort of ritual on a chained up man which involved rubbing him a lot.. which made his head explode..

    Hi,

Digisocialist - some of the titles you said were bad, e.g. "Dirty Dancing", "Batman" and "Howard The Duck" aren't actually that bad - compared to some of the dross that's out there! At least not in my opinion!

For real dross, you only need to look at: "The Passion Of The Christ" (absolutely dire in every aspect), or an anime title called "Ultimate Teacher", (which was shockingly bad)!

Ditto with almost every Steven Seagal film, or some Dolph Lundgren's direct-to-video stuff. Oh, and let's not forget the great Sly Stallone in either of: "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot" and/or "Over The Top"! Now THEY are truly awful films!

There's tons of others, but these few immediately spring to mind.

When ET came out there was a film that quickly followed it into the video shops called ET2. It was a film from around 1940 and it looked like a bloke with a carpet on his back. More recently I had to turn Byker Boyz off after 20 mins.

I thought Ghost Ship was appalling, also most of Jean Claude VD films are laughable.

Mousehunt was utter tripe - nearly walked out of the cinema!

Never have Nathan Lane and Lee Evans done so little to make me laugh - cringeworthy stuff.

Now I can't have all these jibes at Mr Van Damme go unanswered. There was a time I had about 11 or so Van Damme movies on tape and most of them were hilarious. The stories and dialogue were definitely in the category of "its so bad, its good". I mean how many movies does he he play two characters, twins, himself back in time, more twins - fantastic. Although I have to say Street Fighter is one of the worst movies of all time - under the category "So bad, its terrible".

I'll have to disagree completely with Batman - fantastic movie, more worthy winners of worst movie have to be,

Torque - Oh my God! I tried drinking heavily through this, didn't help.
2 Fast 2 Furous - ha ha ha ha
    Flintstones
    Mission to Mars
Mulholland Drive - the most overrated collection of images ever - nice if you're doing a dissertation on the thing, not really a great movie.

People are probably now going to torture me for Mulholland Dr but I hate it.

personally i loved it. didn't have a clue what the :censored: happened, but loved it just the same. You're obviously entitled to your own opinion though, so anyone who flames you for it obviously needs to spend a little less time on the computer ;)

oh and now that we're adding possible "classics" to this list ;) i must add Bad Lieutenant to the list of worst movies ever. Couldn't find one redeeming feature in this movie, and to top it all off you get a full frontal of harvey keitel.. hand me the hydrochloric acid, my eyes have seen enough for one lifetime...

Braindead by Peter Jackson (yes THE PJ). I was lent it by a mate(?) who said he thought it was a great movie - it was sooooo bad I'd recommend it to anybody. It really has to be seen to be believed.

    Hi,

Even "Wings Of The Apache" still not the worst film ever made! It has Sean Young in it, and whilst not the greatest actress in the world, it's still an okay film.

And whoever said that "Braindead" was a bad film, either needs their head examining, or else can't have seen too many movies in their life. :lesson:

Come on folks! There are worse movies out there, than many of what have been listed in this thread! A lot of the movies that are being listed, aren't actually that bad.

Where are the real stinkers?! The ones that have made you want to stick vital parts of the anatomy through a blender? The ones that you thought were so bad, that even bathing in a sceptic tank would be more pleasant than having to endure such filmic waste again?!

I'd also have to go for ulholland Dr as a really bad film but the worst film ever for me is a coin toss between Ali and Superman 4 Quest for Peace...

...and if anyone even thinks about putting Lake Placid as their least favourite film I will be very upset!!!

Mousehunt is ace :smashin: It's got a good script, some excellent cinematography and Chris Walken is great in it. The kids love it and so do I  :D
