Hi,

I am fairly new to the MAC world and have just purchased a new
MacBook Pro laptop. I am after a copy of microsoft word that is identical to the PC version of Microsoft word which is around £90. I have found only one word processor for MAC but this is £6 and doesn't sound like the right one.
Could you please steer me in the right direction of a really good version of word processer?

Many thanks

Im afraid u will have to just bite the bullet and buy microsoft office for mac if you want to be free from compatibilty issue sorry.
These other formats are ok if ure not going to be sending files the minute u want to send a file thats when all the compatibilty issue come in whether it open up at to the person recieving the file or comes out all gar balled more hasstle than its worth

check if your employer is a part of Microsofts EPP programme, if they are it entitles you to purchase one copy of MS Office per year. My employer is, and the discount is huge, a full copy of office pro is about £10
