woolies dvd player??help needed

    A mate had a dvd player bought for xmas from woolies and he wants to multi region it but it has no name on it and the manual only gives it a model no as t123 anyone know who makes these for them

    I'll see what i can do about the photo..in the meantime i suspect that it may be made by bush but i cannot find the website to try and compare the models and also if i tried a handset hack will this damage it in anyway if its the wrong one :rolleyes:

    No I seriously doubt it would (I leave a little room for error just in case you manage by fluke to press the right key combination to get into the player's service menu and activate something you shouldn't - unlikely though).

    The player in the picture looks like the Pacific dvd-1002 sold at Asda, if it is , and I can't vouch for it , the hack is:

    on the remote press 'open/close' button, then 'clear', then1,2,6,9,
    then a region number or 0 for region free. Load disc. (taken from What HI-Fi)

    Hope it works as there might be a different hack for the woolies machine.

    the dvd in question looks virtually identical to the 1002 except that it has no digital display on the front of the machine and the hack only allowed it to play for a few mins then it locked up and the machine refused to work untill it was powered off and back on any one haveany other ideas:confused:

    cheers dolphin, the hacks are the same as the others i've tried same results with the picture freezing up.. but this time i ffwd a couple of secs just past the intro and it seems to be ok, i've left it run and so far i havent heard from him so hopefully thats that..any ideas as to why this is happening.
