I popped into woolies and they were offering half price 512 mb memory (£30) when purchased with any PSP game. Sound like a good price

games are around £30. But then you end up getting a game plus 512 mb card for about £60. I am not sure but i read somewhere that they may be doing a half price deal on the 1gb card so it would be £50 when purchased with a game.

It is a good deal for those who do not wish to buy from the net

Just rung up a friend that works in woolies, and he has put a 1gb card and Virtua tennis aside for me. £34.99 for the game, but due to the (£50) saving on the card, it is well worth it.

Cheers for the advice guys.

yum yum get your mate to buy it for you and that way you will save an extra 10%. so total cost will be about £73 not bad for a memory card plus a game and you do not have to worry about buying one from ebay. Plus you can exchange the game for burnout when it comes in the next few weeks

When I got mine from Woolies I went for 1GB card for £50 instead of £100. I would rather save £50 on that then £10 on a game. I also picked up Ridge Racer for £35 ( I think). Morrisons are doing their games for £30.
Also on another note, DO NOT BUY RAPIZ. It is the work of the devil. I bought from Play (who are gracefully taking it back). The program is terrible to use, doesn't recognize quicktime, even though it says it does and when you pick the program in english it should have said Brokern English. It has on the screen something like " Now pick you have folder target" very Yoda like.
Stick with DVD video 9 even though it sometimes doesn't work for me.

I just went and picked up nfsu rivals :/ and a pro duo for £85, no sign of snooker being £20, do you have to ask for that one?

I think i'll keep the game sealed and wait for Burnout Legends and do an exchange :)

Does woolies have a return policy? (with regard to the guy who said he'd keep a game in its wrapping then return it for burnout on the 16th). Also, is it only the bigger stores which have 1gb memory sticks included in the offer?

    hi there :)
The back of the receipt states that Woolworths have a 28 day return policy:

As for the stores that carry the 1gb sticks in the offer I'm not sure myself. From my experience, of the two stores I went to, the smaller store (an out of town high street) had the 1 Gb cards in stock. The larger store (town centre) only had 512 Mb sticks left.

Both stores had display boxes stickered with the offer for a half price 512 Mb stick for £29.99 when bought with any PSP game. I rang first to check with the smaller store if the offer extended to the 1 Gb sticks, which it did :)

    Try this angle.

Got my 1gb yeasterday just got the game them told them I wanted a 1gb stick and that I had been to a different store they told me I could have one half price but they had only 512 in stock.

The sale man telephone the manager and they told him ok.

May be the story to try, but check they have 1gb in stock first a lot of stores are running out. It does also seem as if smaller stores have some stock left but not big stores.

can't believe woolies let you take back the game without the memcard!
surely if you buy a special offer, you have to return the whole of the special offer.

how did the memory card come up on your original receipt? it is obvious that's it's part of a special offer? i may try this....

Best idea is to phone them, as even it is still on, there is no guarantee that they have the memory sticks in stock.
