Thanks Cap, I'll try not to look for faults, but going from a 32" to a 72" screen, I am sure I could put them to the back of my mind and enjoy what I'm seeing....

Just got to wait for my DRH Slimline & new DVD player to turn up and I'm sorted.:D

I have some decorating to do first, so it will be a little while yet until my PJ is set up properly..

As soon as it's done, I'll try to post some pics as well.

Fitted PJ up last night just by hooking up to my PS2 with the Composite lead....WOW!!!!

I couldn't beleive the picture I saw. This was projected onto a plain wall that had just had the wallpaper stripped off as well,(I am decorating, didn't strip the wallpaper to do this btw!).

Even the wife was overly impressed with the image, especially when I put The Italian Job on and we had huge Mini's driving around on the living room wall.

Can't wait until the screen & DVD palyer get delivered to get this set up properly.

Many thanks to everybody on this forum that had asked questions and answered questions about the Z2, it was through this that I decided to buy the Sanyo. Best purchase I have made in a long time.

I can highly recommend NexNix if you are thinking of purchasing (Of course other retailers are available...). Superb service.

    :D

The one's I tried last night were :

The Italian Job (Original) (Massive Mini's)
    Shrek (Excellent Picture)
    Bad Boys (again excellent Picture)
Buffy (Any image this size of SMG has to be good!)

I must admit that they all looked soooo good.

and also had a few laps around Donnington on MotoGP for PS2.

Hope you are as impressed as I was tonight.

Now i'm really jealous... I have decided to take my family to Euro disney and so that may delay my purchase for a few weeks and I have decided I will not buy until I can demo the unit first.

Anyone know how the Z2 will look on a 231CM wide screen as that is what I would love to use...

    Cheers you lucky buggers

Dapex, Just playing around last night the image I got measured around 200cm, and the image was stunning. I am not sure what 231cm would be like, but I would not of thought it would be much different (I'm sure somone can correct me though).

Have a Grrreat time at Disney BTW......

Glad your really smitten with your Z2 Scotty, got mine in December from Ivojo and it still blows my mind....great PJ for the money.

I upgraded from a smaller home made screen to a DRH Slimline 231 cm and christ what a difference that made, great screen for the money....seated 16 feet from the screen the picture quality is very good indeed.

Well got the Z2 on the mount last night, first the Z2 looks so sexy compaired to my Z1
SDE was not a problem like on my Z1, no colour patchs like on my Z1 and VB i can only see them when there is smoke in the film.

The focus is off in the bottom left of the screen but you can only see that when there is text on screen.

Now the good bit i watched the boat chase from italian job and some starwars ep2. all i can say is WOW so much smoother, more depth the colours were ace. then i put Bugs life and ice age on omg jaw on the floor  just can't believe how much better the Z2 is over my Z1 (not that the Z1 is crap cos it aint)

Can't wait to watch a film tonight, maybe Gothika or Haunted Mansion or do i go for Final Fantasy for the picture :p

All in all i'm over the moon with my new toy

LFC. If there is a bit out of focus then fiddle with the aperture. This changes the depth of field (the range that the image is in focus), but at the cost of brightness (ie greater depth of field = darker image)

Good to see all these people buying Z2’s. Might mean we can hold off the AE500 in the poll a bit longer….;)
