Womble Multimedia software: any good?

Mpeg2 vcr is a great program for demuliplexing mpeg 2 streams, and converting from transport to program streams as well as cutting mpeg2 files and merging them..

Great little utlity, and very fast...

Womble now also makes the Video wizard and Video wizard DVD .

It is great for mpeg editing as it is fast and avoids unnecessary re rendering so quality is Good and time spent very short

It is ( as such) a "dedicated" mpeg editor. Ulead VS is said to "smart render" mpegs but it hides its abilities in trying to be helpful as the settings arent often to hand and not all its users seem to like that

Its earlier version ( which I have and still use) lacks the eye candy GUI of the likes of Ulead VS+ and it wasn't feature rich re: titles, keyframming FX but for easy basic editing, trim cut ect it does what it says on the box
The latter versions certainly look "all improved"
At any rate you can download it as a 30 fully working trial version to see how you feel about it

Functionality has been improved, but in terms of overall editing functionality it can't match Ulead 11.

Meansizzler put it well - it is a great little utility, but not really a fully fledged editor. But if you are editing MPEG2 and your editing needs are basic it may do all you need. It certainly performs well and does what it says on the tin.
