    Hi
I am trying to play a dvd and an avi file with a ac3 sound in the wmp9 but it will not work. I have an ac3 codec loaded which I have been using for the past 6 months without a problem when I was using Windows classic media player. I have spdif selected in my sound card and in the decoder which then goes out to my amp. Now I know all this is ok because it worked with the classic player but in order to get sound in the wmp9 player I have to change the settings in the ac3 codec to 2 channel and then the amp encodes it as prologic 2. Now I know what you must be thinking which is if it ain't broke why fix it but I want to use wmp9 now and I am hoping there is a simple solution to this.

    Thanks for looking.
