    Wish me luck.....

My band has its debut gig tomorrow night. We are playing a set at a pub just outside Bristol which has been booked for a private party

A little nervous, but looking forward to it. It has been a long time coming…!

Essentially, old English classic rock. Set list contains tracks by ZZ Top, AC/DC, Dr. Feelgood, Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher amongst others

Front man, singer, Rock god - what ever fits the bill really :D :hiya:

As for my band - yes it is..ha ha ha..dont tell the boys though :rotfl:

All I carry is my mircophone, a Shure 58 though I do help cart all of the Marshall stacks around + the PA - which is funny as I sold my Les Paul and my Marshall to our rhythm guitarist when I was skint :suicide:

The SM58 is a phenomenal microphone, my brother is the frontman in his band and I usually get the job of driving the equipment and setting it up for him. :suicide:

Good luck though mate, you obviously play becuase you enjoy it and there's nothing better than sharing that - as Tons says - enthusiasm is infectious!

Just bear in mind that there will be equipment and sound problems just don't let them get to you.:)

Superb. Thanks for asking. We managed to pull it off. Couple of hitches but as you said, that is to be exptected.

Set list was stream lined to reflect the audience ~ who we had up dancing and bopping which was fab to watch from my point of view. We played Tush, Messin with the kid, Doctor, Doctor, Up to my neck in you, High Voltage, Teenage Kicks (by far and away the favourite of the night), Killer on the loose, Sin City, Paranoid, Black Night, Born to be wild + a four song encore with Rock 'n' roll damnation, Teengage kicks (requested) and a couple of Stevie Ray Vaughan tracks....doesnt sound like a lot but thats about 1 hour 20 mins worth of stuff as we play stuff such as Tush over twice as such a great, great pub band song.

Then had a few bevvys, some food off the bar-b-q and slept in a field in my sleeping bag as was outside. Technically, we have played our first festival :)

I enjoyed every second of it.

    Pete.
