With Yamaha's new range due soon and other new models out I found myself thinking of a list of must have and would be nice features for a new receiver and wondering if anyone knew of one that fit the bill or any features I might have missed of.
Must Have
7.2 outputs
flac 5.1 decoding upto 192/24 via usb or DLNA network socket
android app
hdmi pass through while on standby
DSD over HDMI or
7.1 multi channel phono inputs
pro logic 2z
Be nice to have
Neo X processing
9.2 outputs - speaker level
preview hdmi inputs (PIP)
4k upscale or pass through
light to show or easy way to tell what mode amp is getting/giving out.
