Wirless network

    Have just put in a wireless network.It comes with a firewall.Question is do I need a firewall as well as the one with the router.

    That would depend how secure you want to be. If the router comes with Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) rather than just plain NAT then you are probably OK.

    hiya

    other point to remember how you have set up the wireless. If you have tied down the wireless side to the mac address of your knwon cards and possibly implemented wep then you can be fairly confident no one else can connect to your wireless network.

    If you havent then another wireless device could use your wireless network to access your PCs. although to be honest they will probably just use your internet bandwidth.

    Good point. Also, try to use Wireless Protected Access (WPA) rather than Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) if your router and wireless card support it.
