Wiring Up Mission Speakers (V63)

Hi All,

Daft question, but can you use 4mm Banana plugs with Mission Speakers ?

I have recently bought a pair of Volare V63s and Mission says to use the binding posts, or spades.

I was wondering if it was possible to use banana plugs, as the Arcam Amp I have also says that bananas aren't an option, but all you have to do is remove a small blanking plate.

Its all something to do with EU regulations I believe, something to do with banana plugs and power sockets !

I use banana plugs with my Mission 771e's with no trouble at all. I just needed to remove the little plugs but that was easy enough.

I have used banana plugs on all my mission speakers without a problem.

I think you're both right ! Seems Mission have plugged them up with plastic to stop people using 4mm Banana Plugs.

You can get the plugs out as you say, but its not that easy, or I need longer finger nails :0)
