    Hi,

I am not up on this sort of stuff so please excuse my ignorance.
I currently have the AEGO P5 surround sound system which has speaker cables with, sort of, composit connections (?). I now have a TV with intergrated surround sound and the TV end requires 'bare' cable attachments.

    My questions are:

    a. Is it okay to snip/strip the TV end of the P5 cables and connect them to it?
I would prefer to do this as I could leave the carpets alone.
    b. Will I get a great deal of improvement if I choose to utilate the P5 speakers or should I just stick with the ones supplied with the tv (Toshiba 32ZP38) and keep the P5 system as a whole for somewhere else?

PS: If I do keep the P5 cabling for the new system how much would replacement cables be? They are meaty buggers with (as prev stated) composit(?) connections

    Thanks :lease:
