    Im trying to connect all my AV stuff together and even though i have it up and running i feel as though im getting the best reults as it is. So i need all u GURU's out there to PLEASE PLEASE help me find the best way to connect it all together for optimum sound and picture qaulity. Ive listed the items and thier available in/ouputs below. All help is Mucho Grassi Apprecited

    PLASMA (Hitachi):
    COMPOSITE - IN & OUT
    S - IN
    COMPONENT - IN -Pr Cr / Pb Cb / Y

    DVD (Sony):
    S VIDEO - OUT
    DIGITAL COAX - OUT
    SCART RGB - OUT
    LINE OUT - S VIDEO & AUDIO

    CABLE BOX:
    SCART - TV
    SCART - VIDEO

    AV AMP (Yamaha)
    COMPONENT VIDEO - DVD
    COMPONENT VIDEO - D TV/ CBL
    COMPONENT VISEO - MONITOR OUT

    S VIDEO - OUT - VCR1
    S VIDEO - IN - VCR1
    S VIDEO - OUT - VCR2
    S VIDEO - IN - VCR2
    S VIDEO - OUT - D TV/ CBL
    S VIDEO - IN - CBL
    S VIDEO - OUT - MONITOR OUT

    COAX - CD
    OPTICAL - DVD
    OPTICAL - DTV/CBL

    Also using a S-VHS conection going to give better signal quality than a phono S-VIDEO connection ?

    I do this proffesionally and help members out in my spare time so give me abreak and take it easy!

    Now RGB is going to give better PQ from Cable and DVD but as plasma does do RGB in (working on your info) but as you have YUV then you could use an RGB>YUV converter (JS Technology) or similar,if you use S-video for both (cable may need an RGB>S converter) and then you can use the amp to switch the video source as well as the audio, trading functionality for quality (you may not notice any drop in quality but i would think you might.
