hi there, i've tried search but couldnt find a solution, so hope that this wasnt already solved (search on this forum is really hopeless).
i do have an old projector (epson eh-tw450 - wxga) which i want to mount on ceiling and use my stereo for audio
all i need is kodi and netflix - only for occasional use, i'm much more in to music, really dont care about top notch picture quality, im perfectly ok with tw450 and not looking to invest in this department
ceiling is visually exposed (not possible to hide cables) so i'm looking for cleanest and cheapest solution possible - these came on my mind so far
1. streamer connected directly to projector via hdmi and powered from usb port on tw450, sending audio wirelessly to dac - most preffered, but not sure how to deal with audio sync
2. streamer connected directly to projector via hdmi and powered from usb port on tw450, sending audio over spdif to dac - mediocre spdif cable should be ok, but i have no real world experience
3. device connected directly to dac via usb, spdif, toslink and sending video wirelessly to receiver connected to projector and powered from usb on projector - airplay? miracast? does it even work properly?
4. device connected directly to dac via usb, spdif, toslink and sending video over hdmi
5. i'm open to any advice...
distance between dac and projector is circa 13 meters
gear i already have:
epson eh-tw450
musical fidelity encore 225 with 2 spdif and one toslink inputs
m2tech usb to spdif interface - should work with linux based devices without dedicated digital audio output
surface 3
gear i need to buy:
streamer for netflix and kodi - i'm open to any advice
maybe wireless receiver for audio or video
I have zero experience with video - i've lived without tv for last 15 years, so please bear with me.
thanks for any advice
