    Hi

I'd like to know if there are any solutions which can provide me with an effective replacement of an USB A to B cable.

I'm looking to connect my MacBook Pro to my Pioneer DAC wirelessly, but with as low latency as possible and able to send over lossless audio.

The Arcam rWave/rDAC is the sort of thing I'm looking to achieve.

    Any ideas?

Would not Pioneer's AS-WL300 work or an Apple Airport Express?

It would to an extent, but I want a of my Mac's audio to be sent over to the external dac, and the Airport Express has a good 2 second latency which is very annoying. If the latency can e sorted then great, otherwise it's the USB interface for me.

Not knowing the DAC I've just looked at it and it says has Airplay audio streaming, Airfoil would enable you to send all sound from your Mac to it (I think?) you can download a demo from here Rogue Amoeba | Airfoil

According to the devices specs your N50 is an Airplay device already and a DLNA renderer too.

Have you tried using it with airplay directly ?

If there is still a delay thats bothering you, try connecting the Mac and N50 over ethernet, remove wireless from the equation.

    Hi
Airplay has a two second delay on the sound which is terribly annoying. Bluetooth streaming is so much more acceptable in terms of latency.. Only if if it was lossless.

Anyway I give up on this question and I guess I'll just have to work around it. Thanks for the contribution though!
