wireless speakers to existing setup

Active Member
I've recently moved house and it time to set up the surround sound system. My current gear is getting on a bit but still works, its a Yamaha Rx-V3800 & B&W M-1 speakers.

To keep 'her' happy I have to cut down on wires.

So can anyone suggest a wireless speaker to supplement the kit I have and keep everyone happy.

All suggestions will be gratefully received.

How much do you have to spend on the wireless adaptor?
Bear in mind that most systems have a central reciever so need a power lead to this and then speaker cables from this to your reciever. So you still have cables. The reciever at the rear also contains an amp to power the speakers and since you have a good amp you are going to have to spend a bit to have it contain an amp of similar quality. Otherwise you will lower the sound quality of your rears. As an example Kef used to do a system for around £400 I think and several members went back to cables due to the drop in sound quality. Can you not run cables in something like D line trunking to hide them from view? This would be cheaper and better.
Airfonix do some nice wireless kits but they are not cheap.
