Hey Just got a Pioneer DVD-r and now lookiing for some speakers However dont want to lift up the floors etc for wires Are there any wireless speakers and are they any good ? Alternatively what speakers can anyone recommend to put at the side of the tv just for that extra sound ? Was told you can also get speakers which when tilted created a wall bouncing sound is this just crap or true Dont have a massive budget just something reasonable Cheers from complete Newbie
The Yamaha sound projector is the best in class of the "wall bouncing" speakers. It's actually a surround sound amp and driver array package. I really, really like it. Gordon
Funkyirishman 'Wall Bouncing Speakers' - there's a few folk in the subwoofer forum that probably do have speakers that can bounce walls As Gordon says the Yamaha YSP-1 Digital Sound Projector should be high on your hit list - it sits below your TV and fires sound into the room using 40 Sound Beams + 2 conventional loudspeaker cones. The Sound beams are all angled differently so the sound is bounced around the room and you use the set up menu to Input your room dimensions so that the reflected sound beams all arrive at your listening position and gives you a 'surround sound' envelope. Depending on your room size the YSP-1 is all you require for a very decent Surround Sound experience - though if your want deep bass you can add in an sub woofer at a later date. The YSP-1 is a mighty piece of kit for the money. Best regards Joe PS SRP £799.00
Do a search on this forum for YAMAHA sound projector....or a google search or go to Yamaha's website and I'm sure you'll find the info you need. I think it's around £600-700 gordon
