At present if have a RF ATi remote which I use to control my desktop when viewing it on my TV in the living room.

However using the cursor pad on the remote that mimics mouse movement is a little time consuming so I was looking at a wireless mouse solution (RF not infrared)

Does any one have experience using one of these especially from another room, as using it in my living room will be approx 5-6 metres from the PC that is located upstairs in my bedroom.

Hi, check out the Gyration products:
    Gyration Ultra

The standard Ultra Suite is excellent and I'm getting >5m without problem. The only criticism I can make is the very bright and distracting green LED they've used on the receiver module!

    Cheers, Phil

    Hi,
I am using a Trust Ami mouse 300, which is wireless and works fine up to about 3-4 metres with fresh NmH installed.
It may have greater range when used with Alkaline installed but as I never use them I cant test it, but with the extra voltage available from these it should be better.

Yup the gyration stuff is excellent if you want a cordless mouse that doesn't need a surface to roll on - but I wouldn't buy a cordless for gaming - the dual optical logitech is by far the best I've used for gaming - knocks spots of the MS ones for smooth and glitch free operation

Have been using the Microsoft Bluetooth mouse/keyboard for a week or so. The range is excellent - up to 25" doesn't seem to be a problem, though needed binoculars to see the screen!

HOWEVER, so far I've had to reassociate the keyboard twice and the mouse three times, which meant plugging the old wired ones back in.

    Its promising, but not perfect!
