Looking to stream my MP3s from my PC onto my hifi via a wireless streamer. Money is a bit tight and I've seen the Linksys WMA11b advertised for just under £50 but the reviews have been pretty poor. I've also been recommended to go for one with a 802.11g interface - any recommendations ?

for mp3 streaming you categorically DONT need 802.11g.
802.11b provides ample bandwidth for that, and if the device is ONLY a music streamer, then you are paying extra for 802.11g you wont use and it is pointless.

The access point should be able to operate just fine in dual mode, sending 802.11b to the streamer, and 802.11g to whatever else needs it without detriment
